Today

Today I decided to dive into my Columbus pics and play with them a bit, but sadly, I think I will need to spend much more time on Photoshop to figure it out...maybe a book would help, huh? But, I think some of the photos are really fun, so this is a start...

Thanks to my 4 friends who checked my blog out...your awesome! Hopefully, once I get a little more proficient with my camera, I'll have lots of cool stuff to look at...come back again...please!

Currently trying to get Lou, my 7 year old, to give me some drawings of things he would like on a t-shirt to get me started, otherwise...he gets what I make for him. Its been a couple days...maybe I should remind him.

Creative Day in Columbus

Today was really fun! Gina, Peggy & I hopped to Columbus with cameras (me, of course, just learning) and took photos in all the great shops like Cullier West & Flower Child, plus some beautiful lingerie shop with tutu style skirts & locally made items. Sadly, we only had a couple of hours to do all this, so I guess we'll be going back!

We did have some great ideas for our next Creative Outing, one involving my crazy cool 40's style pool changing tent, gotta start looking for a bathing cap.

I think I did ok with the camera. I was hoping I'd catch on a little faster, but...not so lucky. I do think I got a few really great shots though, possibly something I can use for my upcoming website.

It was a good day.

fun night/rough morning

Had a great night with old high school friends, so a little bleary this morning. But once I biked to the farmers market, got some great food, I became more inspired for my day. My neighbor has let me take her blackberries every year for my jam, and also gave me a bag of tomatos & hot peppers so I'm thinking about trying to make my own salsa. I know its no huge undertaking, but never done it, so today is the day...cleaning will have to wait!

SUCCESS for our shoot, god the place was a piece of heaven, stone walls, creek. Will have photos up as soon as I get them from Gina. So now I need to stop shoving popcorn in my mouth & concentrate on the rum & coke.

Fun Shoot in Tuscantcky

Almost ready to head out to Heathers cool Tuscanesque home in Kentucky. Hoping for some really fab shots. I'm bringing this really great small tent I found a couple years ago its a large blue & white stripe, really different, been wanting to use it in a shot, now's my chance!

How Exciting...my first blog!

I'm really excited to start blogging on all the crap that is rolling around in my brain, my goal is to try to organize my thoughts, and fulfill more creative ventures I've been dying to do. Lately screen printing has been in my thoughts again. I took a class a year ago and loved it, I'm dying to just go nuts with it, but time is a premium these days...2 kids, dirty house...but I need to find the time or bad things will happen (my brain may explode which creates another mess).

My friend Gina is a fab photog, we are currently doing pro bono work for a woman/girl who custom designs beautiful, lush pillows. Heading out to a friends incredible home to do it, I'll post the shots when I can. This will be my first styling job with Gina, so I want it to be great, pull out all the stops!

She has also agreed to teach me to use a real camera, which embarrassingly enough, after 19 years of being a photo/film stylist I still just use a simple point & shoot!

So....here I go
